Santiago Lawn Tennis Club Rugby Joins Ruggerfest 2016

International Rugby competing at the 40th Annual Ruggerfest.

Fort Lauderdale Ruggerfest is excited to announce the inclusion of a top-level club from Argentina that will enhance the quality and uniqueness of competition at the annual event.  Santiago Lawn Tennis Club will be traveling to Fort Lauderdale to participate in the 40th Ruggerfest taking place February 19-21, 2016 at Mills Pond Park in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

With more than 300 members, Santiago Lawn Tennis Club is the top sports club in the Santiago del Estero province in Northern Argentina, a major rugby hot-bed.  Founded on December 16, 1915, the Santiago Lawn Tennis Club is a sports institution hosting different disciplines, the most important of which is Rugby. The senior team plays in the Regional Championship NOA (Northwest Argentina), one of the hardest and most important in all of Argentina, and regularly advances through to the National Club Tournament and various other national tournaments.  Rugby players from the Santiago Lawn Tennis Club have been represented on the various national sides including Argentina U20, Argentina A (Jaguars) and the Argentina National Team, Los Pumas, including Juan Manuel Leguizamon and Facundo Isa who are representing Argentina at the 2015 Rugby World Cup in England.

Registration is now open to all challengers and club sides wishing to take part in Ruggerfest 2016.
